 Good morning/afternoon/evening, you beautiful people!

It's the month of November, which means it's exam time for a lot of people, myself included. Exams and test series are stressful for many students as there is a lot of work that needs to be studied for. Sometimes it becomes difficult to keep up with all the work and we find that a test has to be written the following day and we are nowhere near ready to write it. This happens to everyone, at least once so today I am going to share my tips and tricks on how to pull an all-nighter without losing your marbles.

                               Tips

Step 1: Take a nap during day

This is crucial to not falling asleep during your study session.

Step 2: Remove all distractions

Put your phone away and any other electronic devices that are not linked to the subject that you are studying.

Step 3: Study in a quiet, well-lit area

Having a designated study area, that is clean really will help you to focus as that area represents nothing other school work brings more clarity and vision. Studying in an area that has enough lighting will aid you to study for longer as you will not waste energy, straining your eyes.

Step 4: Make sure that you have everything that you could  possibly need before you sit down

Ensuring that you have anything you could possibly need or want from a bottle of water to a snack or a stack of stationary or even a portable bin. This decreases the chances of you moving up and down unnecessarily, therefore maximizing your actual study time.

Step 5: Watch Youtube Videos

Now, I know that this contradicts what I just mentioned in step 2 but if you are studying the night before, this means that you are cramming, which means you need to maximize your understanding of the subject. Nowadays, there are educational videos for literally any subject so take advantage of this technological age! Just make sure that don't end up watch videos from your favourite youtuber instead!

Step 6: Make use of the revision that was done in class

Now this step only helps if you paid attention in class and did your homework. Paying attention in class and doing your homework properly is more than half the battle won. When doing so, tests won't be so daunting because the work tested in exams is work that is covered in class.

Step 7: Make use of online resources

This particular step is for those of us who step 6 is not applicable to. Don't worry, no judgement! The internet is a fierce force that can be used for great educational and self- improvement tasks. There amazing videos that take you step-by-step through methods. There are blogs that give incredibly detailed books summaries with questions and answers to help you understand the content, the majority of these are available for free. Don't feel afraid to make use of your internet browser.

Step 8: If you are feeling sleepy or discouraged

Take a 5-10 minute break by getting some fresh air, if you have the privilege of being able to do so. I would strongly advise you to not take a nap whilst in the middle of a chapter or section. Make a hot or cold beverage or take a cold shower, remind yourself of why you need to pass this exam.

Step 9: Don't make this a habit

You can do really well in an exam, after a cram session but chances are you won't retain the information in the long run. Your luck will also run out as pulling all-nighters place a lot of stress on your body and mind.

Step 10: Be Calm and don't neglect yourself

Make sure that you eat before you write and please take a bath too! Say a short prayer before you write and take small breathes and steady your heartbeat. Good luck, I believe in you and your capability for excellence!

That's it for this week, I wish you all the best!

Wishing you all a magical weekend❤๐Ÿ™
