Let's Talk: The beginning of a new season + TWICE's new album: Between 1&2

Good morning/afternoon/evening, you beautiful people!

August is coming to an end and I am getting excited as we are formally closing this year's page on winter! I absolutely dislike spring because of my allergies but I love flowers so I am coming to a compromise! 

I am grateful to say goodbye to the cold and welcome the rain 🌧. Here in Gauteng we have spring/summer rains instead of winter rains, so I am preparing for it to rain cats and dogs soon.  I love the change of seasons because it reminds me that nothing lasts forever and that there is beauty and importance in every season of my life, in a very literal yet figurative manner. 

Yesterday TWICE's 11th mini-album dropped and I am still picking my jaw up off the floor!  TWICE is my second favorite girl group and my favorite KPOP girl group, and up til date I have not publicly declared my love as a ONCE! I just wanted to express my gratitude for them, I was so afraid that they would not all renew their contract after 7 years but they did and I am so happy! I have been a ONCE for two years and I am looking forward to many more years to come!

I was really looking forward to TWICE's comeback as this was this was their longest hiatus and their first comeback as a group after renewing their contract. 

To say that I am completely happy 😊 with the entire album is an understatement! I am quite new to listening to an artist's full album but I started with BTS's album, "BE" in late 2020 and I realized that I was missing out on such bops because they were not as promoted as the title/lead song.  I am finally appreciating my favorite artists full albums and I am absolutely grateful for that!

Now let's get down to business, what are my favorite songs from the album and why? 

Talk That Talk:

I was honestly not expecting this song to be so catchy but it is and I cannot get it out of my head and I don't mind it at all! It's so refreshing yet realistic , when talking about love. 

My favorite line from the song is, 'tell what you want, tell me what need.'

 Queen of Hearts:

I am not a complete fan of rock because personally I find it too noisy but I think that it can be a beautiful addition if used properly and I feel that this song is the perfect example. I thoroughly enjoyed this song and from the teaser alone I knew that I would be enjoy the full song and TWICE did not disappoint 👏. 

 My favorite line from the song is ,' Know you never doubted, baby I'm rule the whole universe' 

 Basics:

Okay, being completely honest this song makes me wants to freestyle and tweak at the same time! I love the beat, the members voices, it's literally my spring/summer vibe. It will be on repeat for months to come.

My favorite line from the song is, 'Slow it down and speed it up like you a spaceship.'

Trouble:

I don't go clubbing but if I did this would be the vibe!

 The entire album is such artistry but these are my favorites thus far! I pray that Jihyo unnie recovers quickly so that we can have a full OT9 experience, ONCE fighting!🔆

I am looking forward to watching TWICE promote and I sincerely hope that on their next world tour they include South Africa 🇿🇦 🤞!
