Let's Talk: Midterm Frustration and Burnout + J-hope leaving for the military

Good morning/afternoon/evening, you beautiful people!

I am posting a blog entry that I originally wrote on the 5th of November 2022, during hectic exam season. For me, as a college student, the autumn semester always flies by and it feels like a crazy blur. So I edited my finals month draft and pulled it out of my archives for you!

Midterms are fast approaching!!! This is such a stressful time for students, especially because there are many assignments and tests given out and expected to be completed in record time. Time seems to fly and with so much at stake, I just want you to not give up!

You are brave and strong for pushing through, don't throw in the towel. Do it for your future self, please don't allow temporary pain and struggles to become long-term trauma and regret.

There is not a lot that we have within our control but there are things that we do have in our control. Such as how we choose to show up,  regardless of our situation is what shapes us. Keep going, let's keep going together!

As we progress into autumn here in the southern hemisphere, please keep warm and take care of your health! Your education matters but so does your physical well-being. Don't overthink when writing or studying, just be present, pray and do your best! Keep fighting and remember why you started this! Education is one of the few things that can never be taken away from you, so cherish it and see it through, you never know where it may lead πŸ‘πŸ’š!

J-hope is leaving on the 18th of this month to go serve his country and I knew that this was coming but I feel like I am watching a loved one leave to serve a second time round! I don't know how I am going to be able to do this 5 more times😭! I pray that God protects him and that he adjusts well. I pray that Jin is well too, in Jesus name, AMENπŸ™πŸΌ! BTS HWAITING πŸ’œ ARMY HWAITING! Let's be strong until 2025!

Have a beautiful Sunday and a marvelous week ahead!

πŸ™πŸΌ ❤

Good morning/afternoon/evening, you beautiful people!

I hope and pray that you are all having a blessed Easter. I pray that during this Holy Week,  you remember that Jesus died for us all. I pray that you feel His unending and unfailing love ❤ for you. I pray that you feel His peace that surpasses all understanding. I pray that you feel love and comfort ❤ πŸ’•!

I pray that you are able to forgive those who have hurt you but are firstly able to forgive yourself, for it all starts within.

I pray that you find hope even though it seems gloomy and full of despair. I pray that you see Jesus' Hand of love and mercy throughout your day and your year, He died for me and He died for you!

I was literally going to write about something else but a prayer during this time felt needed, so that's what I wrote!

May God bless us all, remember that you are loved by a powerful, merciful God. He sees every tear, every pain, every heartbreak and every shame. He more then sees it, He heals it too! Don't forget to go to Him. Sometimes I feel too sinful to pray,  too human and unworthy. During times like these remembering that a whole King, came down from His glorious throne to die in my place means that I can never be too much, my heartbreak too heavy nor my sorrow too gruesome.  So please don't hesitate, He has the whole world in the palm of His Hand but His ears are not too busy to hear us!

I pray that God grants you His Peace. I love this word, peace.

Have a blessed Sunday, for He is Risen! May our hopes and dreams rise as well!

All my love πŸ’“

March reflections

Good morning/afternoon/evening, you beautiful people!

March has been a month full of lessons for me. It has shown me where my weaknesses lay, where I can improve and become a better woman, sister, daughter and friend. So let's review what the month of March unveiled in my life.

1) Show up!
This was a lesson that I learnt early into the month of March. I had given my word to be a  participant in a math olypide competition and as it drew closer I felt like dropping out. I had found about 3 weeks prior to the event and I thought that I would be fine but as the due date drew nearer, I began to believe that I had perhaps made a mistake as I did not prepare ahead of time for a such a big event. I showed up anyway, I got 35% and hence I did not make it to the next round but that was not the lesson for me. I gave my word, I said that I would show up and I did just that. I am super proud πŸ₯° of myself despite my poor grade, now that I know I can try again next year! So if you say that  you'll be somewhere or do something try your absolute hardest to be there and do it! πŸ’ͺ

2) Don't give your word away, so easily talk truly is cheap
This piece of advice precedes the first because if you cannot commit it's best to say so from the beginning, instead of stringing others along. Sometimes you don't realize until later on and letting people know that you are no longer able to commit as early as possible is the next best, respectful and responsible thing to do. Your words hold power and as you get older, they hold greater effect on your life as many things are verbal. Even if no one calls you up on your inconsistencies and unreliability, it will affect the opportunities availed to you. You owe it to yourself to think before you speak and see your words as verbal contracts πŸ’š .

3) Don't apologize if you don't mean it
This is definitely easier said than done in a world that glamorizes and praises apologies. Apologizing is important but only when followed by remorseful behaviour. Meaning that measures are taken to fix and mend the wrong done and hurt caused. An apology is like love it's a verb, not a noun. You have to take action, so if you are not sorry, don't force it, it's pretty obvious when you don't mean it. Also don't apologize unnecessarily, your apologies become cheap and meaningless if they are said way too often. Taking steps to make amends is more important.

4) Set alarm reminders for activities
You won't always feel like doing the right thing. You won't always remember all that you need to get done. Setting an alarm with a title that tells me exactly what I should get done, has helped me so much throughout March and I will continue doing this. Try it!

5) Just because something doesn't feel good does not mean that it's bad for you
This is a lesson that I am learning because I firmly believed that things need to flow ✨ in my life to be right for me. Which is something that I still believe but most times what is good for you in the long run, won't feel good in the moment. That's the beauty of growth, it's an uncomfortable process but the end product is so worth it!

What lessons have the month of March unveiled in your life?

Have a beautiful Sunday and a marvelous week ahead!
